SAMVIT School of Infrastructure Business's (SAMVIT) academic programmes are designed in such a way, that the students are taught not only theory but also industry relevant applied knowledge. Furthermore, academic programmes are designed to develop the skill sets which are equally essential to be successful in the infrastructure business.
Towards this, SAMVIT has decided to take a dynamic approach towards the 'Teaching Methodology' for its Full Time Programmes.
The entire curriculum of the PGPIB course has been designed through a central co-ordination & consultation involving the academic experts & industry experts. This has been done to give students a close to real life exposure as well be perfect in terms of theory aspects.
The subject matter has been thoroughly validated by the expert Faculties & industry experts. The views & suggestions of experts have been incorporated wherever necessary to make it a complete programme.
Evolutionary structure of Semester-wise pattern has been followed which makes the students aware and expert of each subject, stage and level of complexity-wise, in a phased manner and which results into 'complete knowledge ready student' by the end of the course.
A unique blend of theory & case study methods for delivery has been incorporated for the overall benefit of the students. This involves classroom presentations by students, under which students are asked to prepare presentations based on a particular topic assigned to them, which requires them to search for information, analyze and present the study they have done. This enables them to improve on presentations skills as well learn the subject matter.
Students are also given short / medium field based assignments to supplement the classroom based teaching. This gives them the exposure to learn and know the field work involved in concerned projects.
The first assignment is of introductory nature, while the second is of advanced level.
Practical Exposure on every Saturday. The entire course is segregated in three themes as Preconstruction, during construction and Post Construction and large infrastructure projects like roads and highways. The objective of this practical is to give exposure to Civil Engineering in such a way that their technical skills required by the Construction Industry are enhanced.
Summer internships of minimum 75 days is planned to give them the first real opportunity to work in a corporate set-up, just a like an employee of that particular organisation. The internships provides excellent practical exposure to the students and gives an opportunity to work in the real world situations.
Will work on live project based on field activities and practical training on site of the Infrastructure / Construction Industry during semester II and III. Based on the learning he/she is expected to submit a detailed report during every semester.
In Semester-I student is expected to prepare detailed project report based on the field activity.
Visits to Infrastructure / Construction Companies, Material Testing Labs etc.
Information Technology systems are used by all companies. Therefore all widely used project management software, ERP applications are taught in-depth with high emphasis on practice in Institute's full equipped IT lab are encouraged. Apart from the advance tools, students are also taught the basic computing systems and tools which are often used in the work life. Students will master software applications like Excel, Auto CAD, MS Projects, Revit, and other Software used by the Infrastructure / Construction Industry.
Focus on helping the students to build oral and written communication.
Students are Evaluated & Assessed in two forms viz. Internal & External.

Students are asked to write a paper or an article on a given topic. Students are then required to use the research skills and prepare the paper or article. This gives them the learning of paper / article / report writing, which is very much required on the work floor.
Students are required to prepare various subject presentations and present them to the Faculty.
Project work is assigned to the students which is a large scale activity, in which they learn to do a formal project which involves locating & defining a problem, suggesting improvement areas, and solutions.
Students will also be formally assessed and evaluated through typical written examinations / tests.
It can be seen from above that SAMVIT School of Infrastructure Business (SAMVIT) has a very holistic approach of providing academic development to students.
To sum up, SAMVIT provides a capacity and competency development to the graduates in order to make them ready for the professional positions in the infrastructure business.
